I confess that in my "relaxed" (I put relaxed in parentheses because how relaxed is your hair with harsh chemicals in it...hmmmmm?)hair days, I was not that conscious about what I put in my hair. I tried the latest trends or recommendations and/or relied on my hair stylist to pick the correct products for my hair. I suffered from severe dry scalp and could not figure out why until I finally went natural. The products I was using in combination with the chemical relaxer in my hair was drying my scalp out! Now I always take time to pay attention to what I put on my hair and scalp. I tell this story not to stand in judgement of those who relax their hair. Quite the opposite....I just want you, and you...yeah even YOU to take care of your hair no matter what texture it is. Healthy hair is good hair...period!
